The 254,000 sq. ft., Vaughn Hall is located on the University of Tampa Campus. The building is a nine story, multipurpose student facility, designed to center around the social and residential life of the students. The Allen N. Reeves Theater, located on the second floor, is used for recitals, dance, film festivals, movies, and speaker presentations. Floors 3-8 house 525 students and the rooms are double and triple occupancy with most sharing a bathroom. The first two floors and ninth floor include student dining, a conference center, a two story cyber cafe, a recreational area, student office space, a computer lab and a campus bookstore. The third floor has a small meeting room for tutoring or studying, a large community room with cozy furniture, and a full kitchen. The Crescent Club, located on the ninth floor is designed for audio-visual presentations, meetings, and dining for special events and conferences. The structural framing is concrete columns and concrete shear walls with post-tensioned slabs. The project was completed in 2001 for $28,000,000.
